User Security & Data Encryption

Each Boardbooks user is identified by a unique username and given an initially temporary password, which is never transmitted to the user by email. All users are forced to change their password on first login, and the default password strength for Boardbooks enforces a "strong" password policy.

Boardbooks offers a comprehensive range of user security features, which includes a flexible two-stage login procedure.

Each and every request made to the Boardbooks server is authenticated to verify the user's identity, and whether the user has the appropriate permissions to execute the requested action. Only if these checks successfully pass, does the request get passed to the main application for execution.

All confidential data in Boardbooks is encrypted (both during transmission and storage) using strong, industry standard encryption protocols, with very strong randomized keys.

Each client has a separate data store with a unique set of encryption keys. Diligent does not use any proprietary or customized security protocols or components, as these cannot be proven to be secure. Even the 'Local' version of Boardbooks is tightly secured, with unique user specific encryption keys protecting your client data.
